Yeah, I'd go with the lifetime ban.
May be a deterrant for any other player planning to use
the stuff. My 2 cents.

I know this may sound liberal but I think if they really want to initially clean up baseball - offer an "amnesty" to all players who fess up and then take it from there...not sure how I feel about how steep the punishment should be yet.

i agree with you Stone193. if baseball had a 1 year or lifetime suspension on players using steroids there would be nobody left to play the game!

I don't think they can do anything to Giambi. His testimony never was supposed to get out. He never tested positive(as far as we know). I think the players will always be one step ahead of the tests.MLB really needs much better testing.
