1847 Central American Republic 8R

Ever since I started coin collecting two years ago I've wanted this coin. Very tough for me to find and this is the first one I've been able to get my hands on. Even though I believe it's been cleaned, it's an old cleaning and the coin has retoned to a nice pewter color. The image is overlit and I apologize for that-my photography has not been up to snuff lately.

No mintages are listed in Krause and if If anyone has further information they could share about the mintages or the general availability of CAR 8R's, I'd appreciate it. I purchased this 8R as a VF+ for $115. It was difficult for me to spend that much as an OFEC collector but I couldn't stand not having it.image

I don't have the current new Krause for the 19th century yet, just the last edition-what does this list for currently?

Edited to add-For those not familar with the CAR 8R it's a silver dollar sized coin, .903 silver content with interesting edging.

    Vewt nice coin!!! I sold my CA 8E a few years back. It was kind of funny, sold it to the same dealer I bought it from, and sold it for double what I paid for it!
    It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!
