Why has PCGS stopped sending order arrival emails?

PCGS seem to have stopped sending out emails when submissions are logged into the system.
Why??
Are they hoping we will go away?

  • Maybe they are freeing someone up to go catch up on something else that's behind. Like permanately freed up to do something else.

I think next week you'll get a slew of E-Mails after they get cought up from Balt.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • They probably have that airhead customer service gal Orchid in charge of that aspect. She is still looking for the off/on switch on her 'puter!image

  • I haven't seen (or don't recall) what one of the notification emails looks like, but it would seem to me that they should be automated. The computer should be able to extract the information from the data keyed in when they enter your submission and generate the email without a person having to be involved.
  • Having the computer automatically send emails would be right up there with entering submissions received at a show like Baltimore when they are received. All it takes is a system. Too much like good customer service!!

I believe Conder is correct. They've sporadically had these technical glitches in the system since the day they implemented the notifications.
