Has the price of $10 Indian Gold Eagles increased with the latest gold rise?

I've read about the increase in uncirculated St Gaudens Double Eagles, but have seen anything about uncirculated $10 Indians - Have they had a similar increase in value lately?

Both the indian dollar issues are becoming more difficult to find and also more expensive and that is over the last two weeks. I don't think it is the gold run, I think they are just becoming more popular/in demand. I was told by my dealer that the fresh ones that are showing up are coming from europe. Anyone know about that?

There just aren't that many of them available in high grade, even the common ones so it is hard to gauge the price movement. Saints have always been more popular in generics.

I would sense they are getting much stronger along with the Saints.

    I love this series!

mhammerman.......I remember reading in the 1970's about HOW the US Treasury sold OUR gold to the Swiss. They sold it in COIN FORM. AND.......ready Mr. an Mrs. Goodcitizen?.......they allowed the Swiss banks to DEDUCT for "wear" on the US gold coins we sent em. So they didn't even have to pay $10 for the $10 gold pieces............weight only.

Then......magically.......the Swiss banks opened NUMISMATIC departments. Oh who woulda thought that?

And in the heyday of gold in the 79-80 run.......LOTS of US gold coins came in from Europe.

    Them DUMB Europeans.

That's why the US is so loved and admired by those who do not live here.

Also, many if not most of the big currency deals came from mob vaults where it was kept (so not to be reported) from the early part of the 20th century.
