    Neal,

    That number for the Birds is bascially bogus now. It does show great cap management by Banner and
    Co. but they are very resourceful in inking guys like Lito Sheppard, Sheldon Brown, Greg Lewis, and
    Sam Rayburn to contract extensions during the season costing them some up front bonus money.
    Also, the room helped them bring in guys like Trottier, Douglas, and Levens - when Buckhalter got
    hurt. I would bet the Eagles have little cap room right now. I would also be surprised if Corey Simon
    is around next year. The dude wants top DL money and he aint worth it.

    Corey Simon most likely will not be back. I can't see the Eagles offering him that much.

    Th signing bonuses of those players were not a big total, so the cap room is actually pretty accurate.
