Interesting New Vatican Coin in the Mail Today

As some of you know - I've now gotten interested in Vatican crowns and one of the interesting things about these coins is that stuck in the middle of modenrn papal reigns, is the short reign of John Paul I, who died only a month and two days into his Papacy. As such, the only coin minted with his likeness was the 1000 Lira "Coronation" coin, of which I was able to obtain an example today. The coin reminds me of an American Special Mint Set coin, not quite proof - but a lot better than run of the mill uncirculated. The mirrors are reflective and there is a slight cameo contrast of the devices and lettering with the fields. Overall I thought this was pretty cool - Enjoy
