Too hard to tell from the poor scan it is is a true double die or a strike double. Got a higher res image?

Since I can't get a good scan what are the telling characteristics between a DDO and machine doubling?

If the serifs are cut (split with rounding) with the percieved doubling then it very well may be a doubled die. if it is just the sides and they look rather flat then it is probably strike doubling.
