    $7.89 right now... Blech.

  • There is talk of silver ETF next year. I am not sure if it is the same scam as the Gold one.
  • silver will move up 3%, before 12, then close down to where it did last night plus 3 cents.

Actually, pretty much all my investments are doing just that. image

My idea of diversification is a little(25% and dropping) gold bullion.

Just hit $8.03. I really wish this would hold off so I could add more to my holdings in the next year or so.

Silver just broke the $8 ceiling, not seen since April 2004. A very important and possible break out barrier.

    This happened at 12:30 EST.

It has peaked at $8.05 at 12:45 EST.

Just a heads up for those willing to work a little. I've brought about $500 (face) worth of Kennedy 40% coins from my sons girl friend that works at a big bank in the last 6 weeks. It maybe a good time to go and get rolls of Kennedy half dollars and search them. Return the junk and buy more.

The 40% halves still don't seem to bring that much.

At $8 a ounce they have $1.19 in silver. You at least double your money for the search.
  • How or where would you sell the 40% silver [Honest question not being rude]
    and what years are they
    thanks wayne

Any coin shop. Just call and ask thier buy and sell prices for 90% or 40% silver coins. Its a simple and a cash transaction.

    1965 - 1970 Kenndys, you won't find any 70's in change usually
  • I have every half dollar every penny and every state and 1976 quarter dollar i or my wife have ever touched since 1978 she has a thing about saving coins so it just kind of got out of control
good thing is she doesn't mind if i buy coins i didn't mind if she collected change

Yes it's kind of funny, I haven't search through rolls of Ikes or Kennedy halfs since the late 70's/ early 80's. Of course I'm not now either but I found it kind of stange in this day and age you can still get these in change. We've also got about 20 dollars face of the 1964's that were 90% and she will bring me silver dollars and various other silver coins more than you'd expect.
  • in the 90's silver was pretty low i think a lot of people give up on silver coins they had collected or bought or saved in the 80's and just spent them
because i was running into a bunch of them at that time haven't seen any for the last few years
but most people don't realize the 40% silver in kenndy's

I actually have a couple of $1000 bags of 40% Kennedy halves. Got them for a good price a few years ago, all 1969 and BU.

I could sell them with a 1 minute phone call right now. Think I'll continue to hold them for awhile longer though. I've also picked up numerous rolls over the years and have them stashed in the safe.

    They are quite liquid.
