"Circ" finds from the bank (Kennedys)

So, I had ordered a $500 box from the local bank.
Came home from vacation and picked it up.
There were 50 rolls (Brinks) that were in there all paper-wrapped (most of mine from this bank are plastic-wrapped (cents, nickels, dimes, quarters).
I am trying to fill a dansco and complete the holes.
I found 2 1969-D, 2 1964-D, 1 1964, 2 1967.....and then a TON (I am talking close to $300+ worth) of 2001-D.....most all were BU. Very similar to the ones I got in the bag of halves I bought from the mint earlier this year (same start of bag toning, etc). I think someone bought a few bags, cherried out what they wanted, and dumped the rest.
I just couldn't believe getting that many of them in a sealed box from the bank.
Also found a 1997-S in circ with the batch.
Still needing:
1965 (how hard is this one from circ? Just over 65million and appears to be pretty hard)
1970-D (yep...I know...only in Mint sets, but I have heard of people finding them)
1980-P (why is this one so hard? Just because I am west coast???...I find more than a few of the lesser minted 1980-D)
1987-P (Mint sets and souvenir sets)
1987-D (see above)
1990-P (again, why so difficult to find?...I have looked at over $2000 of rolled halves from the bank in the last year)
2000-P (hmmmm...I can't find this one but I can find 2000-D quite a bit)
I bought the 2001-P/D from the mint, got the 2002-P/D from someone who was kind, got the 2003-P/D from subscribing to Coins Mag, and bought the 2004-P/D from the mint in bag form.
The latter dates are BU, the earlier dates are obviously circulated.
Other interesting note....the 1976 bicentennials seem to get more toned that others. I find a lot of them that are toning and circulated. Though, the 2001 coins seem to be very very quick toners.
I also found a 1971-P that is toned on both sides. Not sure if it is AT or not....interesting toning and only cost $0.50 so I kept it. All in all, in silver and "interesting" pieces, I am keeping about $12 worth from the $500 batch. The rest is going to my credit union this week (I get them from my bank and turn them into my credit union so they don't easily come back to me).
Anyone else doing this? Last time, I got a couple of circ Franklins, none this time though.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Just a thought and a possibility.

I will have to scan them one of these days and see if there is a pattern to the scan that people recognize (some of them have scanned in the same way).
Oh well, just something interesting, to me at least.

I don't have time right now to be hoarding that.
I need that one
And, you live too far away (like, 45 minutes, right? )

Also, you stated you bought a $500.00 box at the bank......pardon my newness still but what is it? Do all banks offer it???
Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.
If you have a spare, I would love it for the book (doing 2 books...one to get my son going as he gets older and 1 for me to play with...worst case scenario, 1 book and he gets it).
PM if you want....
As for the $500 box of halves...not sure if all banks do it. I know the larger commercial banks are the best chance from what a handful of banks told me. Those (such as Bank of America, like Poorguy mentioned) will do it. Sometimes it is better to talk to the Merchant Teller. They are the ones that can help most of the time.
Banks like Washington Mutual won't/can't. My credit union won't/can't. They basically do what gets deposited or much smaller scale (they told me).
btw....I also get boxes of Ikes this way (harder to get, sometimes takes longer). I have another box of kennedys and a couple of boxes of Ikes ordered (hopefully know more by this weekend).

Half dollars are rolled and stored in "boxes" of $500.00. Must make then easier to store in the vault. Most banks will order $500 lots of halves if you ask them to as they normally do not store that many on site. There could be a charge associated with the transaction though as coin delivery is not cheap so ask ahead of time.
