1967 SMS Dime Machine Doubling or DDR Error? PHOTO

OK, I'm not the worlds greatest error expert. Come to think of it, I'm not an error expert at all. So can those of you who are, and who think you are, tell me what you think of this dime reverse?

The rim lettering shows doubling from the last A of AMERICA clockwise to the S of STATES. Strongest in the word UNITED, shown here.

Machine damage. The coin caught in the die during ejection. Fun, but not a doubled die.

Looks like machine doubling to me.

The Flynn book shows a 67 DDO but no DDR.

Interesting. I have a second coin that is nearly identical. Same catch in the same impact direction?

If I can get a good photo I'll post my 1967 Washington next. (I also have two with the same doubling)

There could easily be hundreds or even thousands of coins with the same problem if the problem with the press wasn't caught early enough.

No doubt machine doubling. But still cool.
