  • Speaking of scary Washingtons, did you see this one at Heritage?:
ghostly D mintmark is seen northeast of the 2 in the date

I know, I know, shameless plug! But it is a neat coin! Dave

    Don,

Is that what you got today while at the shop. Mike told me you pointed out a few that he should submit, and you grabbed some for yourself. What do you think about some of those mintset coins?

    Jim,

I spent a few hours looking through all the proof and mint sets from 48-70. Must have been at least 500 sets. Mike picked up Mr.Jackson's estate, and he'd collected for 50 years and been a dealer for 40. I found a nice 56 mint set in original packaging that was beautifully toned, and a few other goodies, along with this set. The highlight was looking through some of the coins that weren't for sale. I looked at quite a pile of early dollars, including a 1795 that was killer. I really like the new location. I didn't ask Mike, but I wonder if he picked up Mr.Jackson's 43 Lincolns struck on silver. He's too close to my office. I've got a feeling I'll be coining more. I didn't ask about the gold, but that was Mr.Jackson's specialty. I doubt much of it will be for sale.
