Here's an 1885-CC that I was very tempted to bid on, but I decided to be patient and wait for a PL example. It's even PCGS GSA designated...

    Semi-PL? Are you sure you didn't mean "Completely Not - PL" image

    Can't really tell from the pic.

    Nice clean MS64 though.

    PoorGuy: Yes, I agree with you. In retrospect (20/20 hindsight) perhaps a better description would have been "satiny cameo contrast" appearance. However you decribe the coin it has very high eye appeal and "pop" for an MS-64 1885-CC.

    JRocco: That's a very pretty 1885-CC which you posted. You can see that I also admire ANACS 1885-CC's based on the following picture of mine in ANACS MS-64 DMPL image

  • Stuart;

    YER KILLIN' ME with these CCs. I'm having post traumatic depression (sellers remorse if you'd like) when I see your CCs. They're beauties.image

    Eric: I like the colorful crescent toning on your 1885-CC!! image

    I also own a few PL CC's with that same type of toning and really enjoy them!!
