Would like any input you wish to offer.
Grade, opinion of image, S-#, R#.
Most of all. What would this bring at auction in todays market?

  • Not my series at all, but I will wager it's a VF of some sort....20 or 30, not sure of the wear diagnostics.....I like it though....
  • scans kind of blury I guess fine no idea what it would go for in auction.

Nice planchet and look for a classic head cent.

  • I like that large cent very much so... I don't have that type yet.

Wow, superior planchet and color for a very tough type, strikes me as having absolutely original surfaces with no corrosion or porosity, and rare as such, I imagine we're looking at a $600+ coin, possibly quite a bit higher, as much as $1000 if it reaches the high VF grades, I think a little too much wear for EF, but might barely qualify for EF40, and as such worth over $1000 , gosh that's a nice coin. image

  • VERY nice! That is an impressive coin. Surfaces are nice not porous like you usually see and the color is good as well. I'd call it at least a VF-30 or a little better, EAC grade the same no deductions. I think Baley is right on the values as well.
  • Grade VF 35 at best, not too harshly cleaned. Excellent planchet for a 1814 My guess $600. $800 On a good day.
The scan is little dark, wish you had a better picture.

An extremely nice, mid-grade coin. Those come with porosity all the time and this one does not have it. Much better than average. I could easily see it at a $1000.

I agree with what has already been written, that is one very nice coin.

One does not get to see that year this nice very often.
