Murder by Exchange Rate

Just purchased an item from the UK. I suppose I should be thankful that when I more regularly made purchases, the exchange rate was less murderous. Holy cow. What I do to finally obtain a William & Mary crown!

I recently sent payment in Euros to someone. The rate was 1.33 The Canadian Dollar is up to something like .82 Good for selling overseas, but not for buying.

I know what you mean. I wanted to buy a coin from the UK, but it would cost me almost double the asking price with the exchange rate. So no coin for me

Yep, that darn Swiss exchange!!

I guess I'm just going to have to kick my wholesale prices up by 10% just on the currency fluctuation alone.

The dollar is at an all-time low against the Euro and the lowest I've seen it here in 8 years; it's fallen over 30% in the past year.

When I was in Italy in April of 2002 I was getting 1.10 Euro to the dollar......

It used to be cheaper to pay in US Funds when crossing the Rainbow Bridge to Niagara Falls. Now we always pay in Loonies and Twonies.
