Looks pretty nice for a 70 set- I know many of them have those God-awful milky white rings around the rims (I guess from the packaging material??).... But what's that weird whitish streak down kennedy's cheek- is that on the coin or on the plastic?
My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !
It looks like a the half is decent, with a shot at dcam, and the Washington obverse is all there. The reverse is a 50/50 based on the pic, and that's always the tough side. What you didn't illustrate was the Lincoln. Is it SD or LD, and will it dcam?
Anyway, enough chatter about how the coins would holder. You asked for opinions of the set, and IMO it's way above average, and a keeper. Marty's right. Alot of the 70 sets have target toning that's mostly unattractive. Nice set.
Developing theory is what we are meant to do as academic researchers and it sets us apart from practitioners and consultants. Gregor
I received this set today. Sadly it doesn't look near as good in hand as it did in the auction pics Most of the coins have haze on them.
It's a large date Lincoln too.
Here's a couple pics i snapped of the Kennedy and Lincoln. You can see the frost breaks on the Kennedy. The Washinton & Jefferson are really nice but they would probably barely make CAM.
Oh well, Live and learn. I'm trying to get ahold of the seller now so i can return the set.

It's a good thing this never happens to any of the rest of us.

Well, I'm glad i'm not alone in my frustration
<< <i> Whats the best way to crack open one? >>
Give it a twist until you hear the seal crack open, then slide a knife blade between the two pieces and move around until it's open.
Don't jam the knife blade into your hand !!!

I don't think it's bait and switch. More like deception by imaging method.

My personal opinion..................... stay away.
