<< <i>Rick - Will you be there, or is it just me and Aki this time? >>
I'll be there, and I believe Boilerplate78 will be as well. Shall I bring the Alpeux?

<< <i>Since this is a dinner invitation, you should be paying. If that is the case, count me in!!! >>

<< <i>Wow, I'm flying in early for the occasion. Dinner with "Monsieur Eureka" (My BUD) is not to be taken lightly. I'll even bring a gift, then I'll leave after shaking hands and go eat at a restaurant where I can read the menu. I know this upsets you Eureka, and ya wanted to sit next to me but not a chance. >>
If you're gonna do that...... just make sure you bring 2 doggie treats... One for Aki and one for Andy...

(This is an inside joke, of course, but Boiler knows what I'm talking about. A bunch of us went to an upscale place in DC but SoCal Rick forgot that we are a little classier here in the nation's capitol. His mortification was only outweighed by how funny the rest of us found his being treated like a tardy schoolboy.)
I would love to join you gentleman, but I'm afraid I'll still be knee deep in the ANR auction's 2nd session. If I'm not, I may be a last minute addition.
Have some escargot and toast my maternal grandfather, H. Burrington Baker, who was the Q. David Bowers of the world's snail researchers and collectors. Really.

<< <i>Rick -- wear long pants this time, would you! You don't want to embarass Aki by getting scowled at by yet another maitre'd. >>
I'll remember that advice. However, it would be cool to turn my nose up at another elitest establishment.
