  • You have circulated Wheaties from the Teens! image

Sorry, a little sarcastic image They're cool... not rare, I don't believe... but cool... you can generally get 3 cents a piece for circ wheats from dealers... though, these might be a little more since they are Teens...

    remainincognito,

Based on your posts, you've obviously got the bug for coins.

You might want to go out and get a 2005 Whitman Red Book, which lists retail values, and maybe Photograde to help grade those circulated coins. It's a good starting point. At least it was for me.

Cherrypickers Guide is great too for helping to identify a possible rare variety in your circulated cents.

You can get all three books at a good coin shop or online at Stanton Books. (BTW, Stanton is the guy who co-wrote Cherrypickers Guide.)

Nothing there that's "in the money." Being libral, you can buy coins like that for less than a quarter each. More realisticly, about a nickel or dime depending on what the dealer thinks his time was worth for him/her to sort it from a bag (bag = 5000 of them.) Even so, it's very neat to own some early dates, even if they're common. Good luck with your collecting.
