I don't really collect, it was my brothers, I found it in his belongings after he passed away. I might start collecting now that I see that it can be profitable.

Welcome! I would not start collecting if your goal is profit. You had a fluke in coins by aquiring a rare pattern. Coin collecting should be left to the folks who enjoy it for what it is and not for profit.

I read a ton of books before I decided to sell this piece and I came about the Cherrypickers guide. I think I would enjoy collecting variety Lincoln cents.

I would suggest you go into the Profile Button to the top right, and enable your Private Messages, and contact coppercoins. He's an EXPERT on Lincoln Cent varities, and has a great book that he recently released that's all about searching through Lincoln Cents. And he's a great guy to boot

Fatdadday: The coin's picture is not posted yet, so I'm basing my estimate solely on the information you provided. These regular die trial pieces are generally less desirable but rarer than many of the true experimental pattern designs. Proof 64RB is a very decent grade for a pattern or regular die trial piece. That said, I think we're talking about a gross price (including buyer's commission) of between $4,000 and $5000.
