The amount of activity we are doing is furious. Within the first 2 hours we had sold a record amount of coins which broke every expectation we had of this up and coming show. The dealer to dealer activity is as busy as I have ever seen at any size show. We are paying VERY strong money for any PQ for the grade coin we can get our hands on. If you are reading this and thinking about bringing your PQ coins to the show we urge you to do as we have a large checkbook waiting for your coins NOW, we want first shot at your coins and are willing to pay top dollar for your coins. Don't miss out.
I have just turned 3 people away while writing this so I will have to end this message to service all of our customers.
stay tuned...............

I can say we have spent more than anyone at the show and the crowd knows it! They just keep bringing all the top 5% of the grade PQ coins to our table since all the buzz around the room is we are paying more than anyone.
WOW

Saw a a couple of 4 digit transactions, both from the same place, one for a want list and one for gold, he had 'em standing in line. Plenty of activity. Saw $1000 paid for some early currency by two different guys at the same place...standing in line there as well.
Wanted to see if there were some slabbed ms65 fs war nickels but none jumped out at me and I didn't see any. Showed a guy my chopped trade and we talked about it for a minute and he reached back into the goody bag and drug out his...had 12 chops and a nice coin. He said it was unc. and I challenged if any chopped trade could be unc., by virtue that it has not only been handled, it has been CHOPPED! His opinion is that they never openly circulated and therefore there can be uncs. But I'm learning so we can just have two opininons and I can't totally discount his. So, an interesting visit to a nice show.
John looks like Jason is making all that money without you.... I thought you guys were on the buddy system..
Tell ole Jason you need a few bucks since he went AWOL on ya....
Saw Jason Stevens, DizzleCC and Loan Shark (and Loan Shark Jr.) while at the show. Rumor has it that once again Louis and I failed to hook-up with one another, even though we were both there (I was there from 2:00-6:30pm).
Although I did not find any of the coins needed for my Morgan Registry Set, I did purchase about 5 nice quality budget priced NEWPS including the following Morgan and Peace Dollars:
1882-O SEGS MS-62 (Lustrous Semi-PL) Morgan
1898 PCGS MS-64 Morgan (Looks like a 65)
1921 NGC MS-63 Morgan (Slightly PL)
1922-D NGC MS-64 Peace (Great circular Obv Die Crack from "L" in Liberty at 10:00 through bottom of portrait to "T" in Trust at 5:00)
1925 NGC MS-63 Peace (Beautiful golden Luster with "MS-65 Look")
By the way, I am planning to purchase a new digital camera (Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20), so it will be a while before I will be posting new images of my NEWPS and some DUPES which I will be offering for sale via the BS&T Forum either late in December or early in January .
I had a whole lot of fun for a reasonable amount of money -- pretty good bang for the bucks!!

Uh, Stuart. That's OT. but I understand completely (Go Hurricanes!)
After missing out due to people buying in hoards. I made one purchase at another table a nice 1903 morgan in ms64. I had to break a couple of commandments getting it from the throng of people but it was worth it.
Morgans and gold were being heavily traded with high turnover.
The buzz toward the end of the evening was anticipation towards the next show in houston in January.
<< <i>I pretty much saw what I needed to see today, and will probably focus on College Football tomorrow!
Uh, Stuart. That's OT. but I understand completely (Go Hurricanes!) >>
He meant the Warriors of Hawai`i, as in UH 38, NU 35.

The key was being there to help the dealer set up his case. ok, I held the glass as he was putting the coins out. It wasn't glorious but I did get first shot.
If you have any coins for sale you better be at the show today and early! We will be leaving late today since we have such a busy travel schedule for all the upcoming CRAZY WHITE HOT AUCTIONS that are coming within the next few months.
stay tuned.............
Mornin dude I want to thank you for your help yesterday and the time you spent looking at some of my junk. Sonny was a good help as well. pm me later in regards to the plates you are looking for. I'm going to keep the CA's for now- but I have others that I should pull out and look at- check out the bay you would be AMAZED at some of the prices they are asking for
It was enjoyable meeting a few of the members there. I do believe some of the 2x2's that I saw were out of line, but that is what the game of dickering is all about- and to agree- it was a madhouse with some of them ol' ladies at the tables- they were downright mean ol buggers at times
The wife said I had my fun yesterday so today it's back to the chores of fixin the cedar chest and making the case to hold my good coins.
If anyone is interested I do custom woodwork on small objects like coin cases, bookshelfs, etc. no pine or plywood- strictly exotics. Later

One of your buyers looks like she might need a potty break about now.
I am going to bribe the other buyer to get better pricing. Will Yugioh cards work?
I may have recovered enough to come back to the show on Sunday, if you think that there will be any coins left at all...

no, but a Power Rangers sword will do the trick.
The show was great! there were plenty of coins there so no one should be moanin about not having anything to look at. I saw one of those poured chinese ingots in the form of a bowl, stamped and all, there today and may snag one next time we cross paths because they are fairly cool except this one was selling as an antique. The morgan hunters were active and are fun to watch, but im afraid the indians have escaped again. The prices for ms slabbed indians are beyond where I am comfortable with for that series and the good stuff is getting sucked up like a vacuum with a big V (I suspect by dealers). There is NO undergraded material in the indians that I could witness. So, glad I got a fair number of my tribe assembled before the rest escaped. Maybe I will get a chance at a stray from time to time. Seems like paper currency was getting a fair amount of attention. Was kinda looking out for draped bust $10 gold just because I like looking at 'em but didn't see any. There was a lot more dealer to dealer activity yesterday, I didn't see any of that today.
There were some board members there and we got to greet and chat a little. A very nice show with plenty of activity and material, particularly if you liked modern and morgans but seemed everything from paper to gold was getting plenty of interest. Some buzz about the show in January but in in reflecting on this show, I believe that coins will continue to be getting more expensive so be savin' up. If I wasn't afraid to think it, I would say that it looks like we're going to the moon again so hold on to the rocket.

I enjoyed seeing some of the coins like: a 1907 high-relief wire rim Saint MS 66, WOW!!!
Also a nice `32 D Washie slabbed AU58. Very nice coin.
Great to see JB, Louis, and Norm (deadhorse) as well as a few other local dealers I know, Jeff and Bud
Great to chat with all you guys. Wished you could have stayed longer Louis. Barely got a chance to
chew the cud with you, but i know, when your starving nothing matters but finding something to eat.
I cant blame ya for that.
I enjoyed the show and sold a bunch of stuff.
Highly recommended.
Also not present was Mike, another of the Collectors Coins staff.
Mikes also a very friendly and knowledgable guy and a pleasure to deal with.
He must have been back home holding the fort down.
I'll wear my PCGS Forum Pin and Name Badge in case any of you other forum members also happen to be there and would like to get together for a visit. I may also bring some duplicate Morgans with me to swap or sell while there.
I hope that you are all having a great Thanksgiving Holiday weekend with your families!
