Attention Roosie collectors! Best history of the Roosevelt dime I've ever seen

If you're a Roosie fan, go over to the Registry Set Message Board and click on "Congratulations JHF -- new silver Roosie FB Set ranks #2."

It didn't start out as a history of the Roosies, which is why I'm putting this thread out here. But many of the biggest players in the history of the Roosevelt dime chimed in and started to relate their own personal experiences. And one person's thoughts triggered memories in the next person, and so forth. Out of all the back and forth came a fascinating history of Roosie collecting as well as a glimpse into the future of the Roosies, at least as seen by these players.

If you like Roosies, hop on over to the other thread, and learn who were the early greats ... what got them interested in the Roosies ... where the idea of full banding originated (and whether it's a marketing gimmick or a genuine attribute) ... what created the current surge of interest in the Roosies ... and a whole series of interesting, idiosyncratic views on the future of the series.

And, please, by all means, add your own comments, thoughts, and anecdotes.

Enjoy!

If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
  • Dear Lee:

How did you save it to your hard drive? I was thinking about trying to save it, but don't know how.

    Thank you!
