Tips on cracking a 68 proof set

Have a set that looks like it may have a double die dime. Any suggestions on how to safely crack open the set to get the dime out without damaging any coins?

Stick pocket knife blade into glued seam and push gently until it breaks into seam. Then slightly twist blade and seam will part. Continue around slab until completely open. Once you learn to do this, you can crack them open in about 5 seconds. Good luck!

If you twist them first you can get them to break free easier, then just pry them open with a small screwdriver.

Even on these, which are easy to open, you should always wear eye protection because whenever you are prying plastic with a screwdriver shards of plastic can break off and go flying into your face
