......I don't know if anyone knew this but it works great on copper. I have to get some images up of some copper coins I dipped in catsup and let soak for a few minutes. Then I washed them in dawn dish soap and warm water. WOW what a difference, nice, shiny I was amazed

Try salt diluted in vinegar, works great.

BTW these are the two ingrediants in catsup that clean copper, Taco sauce works even better.

What kind of vinegar golden one? I tried some white vinegar and it turned the copper those funky psychedelic colors....um far out

Well I used the darker stuff now that you brought it up. I didn't get any reaction of color.

There is a thread on the Liteside I saw about it.

I remember that thread. Somebody had experimented to find which ingredients of Burger King ketchup reacted. Nice pics to show the effect

I use apple cider vinegar when cleaning my ancients for a light acid soak. I'll have to try adding some salt to the mix to see what happens.
