Home Q & A Forum

Just got my copy of PCGS grading guide....

Upon renewing my membership. Can I assume that this book reflects the standards of the graders employed at PCGS? I need help with the GA-D quarter....with every recent submission, I will get pretty much all MS66 & MS67 grades, except for the Georgia-D quarters, which always grade 1 or 2 grades lower....I'm baffled. So, my question is, can I use the PCGS grading book to get an idea of what criteria are knocking down the grades on the Ga qtrs? Thanks, Chuck

    Hi Chuck,

The PCGS Grading Guide will give you a broad overview of standards. For specic individual coins I suggest you show them to friends or dealers, either at a local coin shop or at a show.

    Thanks,

    David
