PSA mechanical error question

I have a few cards that I received awhile back that were mislabeled.
Basically the variety is missing ie Pacific Private Stock, when it should be
Private Stock Reserve (hobby #/99). I know it's hobby but if I wanted to sell
it, would it make a difference since it's labeled as a "retail" brand although
the serial # on the front is indictitive that it is hobby. Checking the pop, it's under
the retail version. If I send these back for correction, how much would I have to pay
to get the new labels? I didn't look at these closer when I did get them back because
I could of just sent it back right there and apply the sub # for reference and pay just the shipping to.

  • I believe they will changed free of charge, but since you weren't the initial person getting them graded, I would get pre-approval from PSA before you send them in..

IN the past, I have had excellent service getting these 'mechanical errors' (sure, blame a machine) corrected.

  • I purchased a 75 Topps Mini PSA 9 Gary Carter on eBay that was labeled as a Regular 75 Topps. I knew it was a Mini as did the seller and I figured as a PSA Member that PSA would take care of this error for me when I received the card from the seller.

I am happy to say that PSA handled the situation with Top Shelf Service and made the correction at "No Charge". I did call them prior to initiating the transaction to send to their "Mechanical Error" Service Dept. I would suggest you do the same prior to submitting for correction image

    Good Luck image

  • Thanks guys.
