I don't know a lot about this medal. It was engraved by Loos about 1801 but its purpose has escaped me. I like it though... image

    Nice medal! Looks like some kind of friendship medal to me. The obverse says: "Time flies" and the reverse: "But my friendship does not". It could make a neat Christmas present for someone special image

    Nice example Vern...looks like the reverse has more color than you caught too. I've always liked these and love the fact that he wears the hourglass balanced on his head...image

    Cool! I've often wondered about that. There are a few variants I've seen over the years but they're not the sort of thing that gets put into the standard references so i've tended to pass on them. Thanks! image
