A 1933 cent in circulated condition (VG-F) runs about $1. The '68 clipped planchet is a nice error coin. I don't know the value, but although it's an interesting coin, it's probably not worth a great deal. A 1972 cased dollar runs about $6. All prices retail in Canadian dollars.

Maybe not the numbers you hoped for, but of such coins are a lifelong hobby born. I started by collecting Canadian coins in pocket change in the 1960's while growing up in Maine.

I actually didnt think the 33' was worth a dollar even, figured it must have been common as it was mixed with change. Im only 45 minutes from the border so i get alot of canadian currency daily, these were the best finds yet, for canadian coins.

The cased dollar, if its worth about $6 ill give my mother $10 and throw it in my briefcase. image

    Thanks for the info!

Cool circulation finds, Sammy! Especially the clipped planchet. I believe the 1933 would benefit well from a long olive oil soak; it would probably remove the gunk. The dollar appears to me to be hairlined (scratched) on the obverse. Good luck with the collection!

Tell your mother I'll give her $15 for that cased dollar. By the way, it is a specimen proof.

Which border? I'm about 10 minutes from the Ontario border.

I don't see the pictures. You must be using image bucket. I had to block image bucket because of CCW's nasty sig pictures.
