Mailman Brought My TOREX Auction Lots - Photos

The 1891 LDLL was bought on the TOREX bourse and was shown in a previous thread. The rest were bought at the TOREX auction and arrived today. Sorry about some of the photos (particularly the '99). I just cannot get good photos through ICCS holders.

OK, it's official. I'm very jealous!

    Those are beauties.

BTW, did you win any of the TICF offerings last weekend? I got this one. Plus a handful of 10 centers.

Will post better pics when they arrive.

    Gene,

Nice win. High grade Canada large cents are the cat's meow!

I only won one lot at TICF. I won four 1858 cents: ICCS VG, F, VF & EF, for lowball dealer prices. My bids were woefully inadequate on the coinage aligment 1858 and 1859 W9/8 cents, as well as an 1893 cent in ICCS MS-65 Red and a 1905 cent in ICCS MS-65 Red. The two red cents went too high in my opinion, but I didn't see them in person, so who really knows?

Meanwhile I will chip away at my registry set.

Nice cents. Planning on crossing them over for the registry?
  • bosoxbosox Posts: 1,578 ✭✭✭✭✭
Yes, I will cross them to the registry set. I am sending in four very soon as my four "free" submissions for this year. I have two MS others and some circulated ones to cross that I guess will end up as another submission to PCGS. If you check my registry set (link in my sigline), you'll eventually see if they cross well, or whether I'm back in the market for those dates. image

    Beautiful coins!

Like Luvdawgs, I collect them in lower grades. I don't think I've spent more than $90 on any one of them, and most were in the $5 to $20 range. I'm amazed when I see such high grade versions! image
