Funny Ebay Scammer Story

So two days ago, the local paper has this story about a local scammer (selling Ipods she doesn't have). The article doesn't give her name, but it does give her user ID and the article says she was using the money to buy things for herself and her child. I looked up her Ebay ID and her "About Me" page explains that she is a poor single mom selling stuff on Ebay to make ends meet. I look at her feedback profile and, sure enough, she's been buying clothing for a toddler (along with a NIMPHO t-shirt and a PORN KING t-shirt). Then I looked at her recent bidding activity:
Bidding history
Maybe if she spent less money on condoms, car accessories, and PORN KING t-shirts, she would have better luck making ends meet. Just a thought.

A woman accused of scamming several people out of money by pretending to sell Apple iPods over the Internet has been arrested.
Claudia Nicole Farley, 21, of Heartland Lane, was recently indicted by the grand jury.
The indictment came after Sheriff's Detective Shane Higgenbotham investigated complaints, beginning in November, and presented evidence at a December session of the grand jury.
Farley is charged with seven counts of theft.
Allegedly, she advertised on eBay, the Internet auction site, that she had Apple iPods for sale.
Several people around the nation placed bids, and at least seven say they sent money to Farley after "winning the bid."
But they never received their Apple iPod machines, according to Detective Higgenbotham.
The duped buyers told the detective that when they contacted Farley to inquire and complain, she gave various explanations, including the claim that her mother had been hospitalized.
Detective Higgenbotham said that when he questioned Farley, she at first claimed she had just shipped out a batch of iPods, but later admitted that she never owned any.
Allegedly, she told him she had made up the scheme just to make some money after learning that Apple iPods were among the most popular items sold on eBay.
After Detective Higgenbotham obtained an indictment in the case, Farley was notified of that, and she came to the jail, where Deputy Bobby Lane served an arrest warrant on her.
She posted bond and was released. She is set to appear in Criminal Court on the charges on Jan. 24.
While the official charge against Farley is for seven counts of theft, Detective Higgenbotham's report lists eight alleged victims.
They are as follows: Brian Keith Norwood of Longmont, California; Heidi Herz Berry of Naperville, Illinois; Elizabeth Grace Kuzniewski of Danbury, Connecticut; Rachel Dawn Gordon of Trontio, California; Traci Jeane Jackson of Menton, California; Elizabeth Anne Nowacki of Wellington, Florida; John Paul Robinson of Franklin, Tenn.; Kellie Lyn Passerotti of McKean, Pennsylvania.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
