  • I've chased a lot of them and they always end up getting moon money for common crap. You really have to find a gem to get a deal and you'll fight a dozen newbies for it.

Smells like scam as most of these are. Any oriental rugs? image

For every score, there has to be a 99 losers. The crack out game has far better odds.

Because this was the subj of an earlier post, I went to the site for a look. I registered. I placed bids on 5 items I won 3.
They were shipped out in a speedy fashion, and the items were well wrapped and packaged. It certainly wasn't the disaster I had expected. One of the lots, 10 proof sets, were not cherry picked.. At least not by anyone who cared. I found 2 proof sets in one envelope, and a different year proof set, in another. The odd year proof set just happened to be worth more.
I would not hesitate to bid again with them.

  • I've been bidding in this auction for over a year. It just ain't worth it. I skipped the last one. For one reason, people who come across it for the first time, think hardly anyone else knows about it. The bidding on every item goes through the roof. No one ever seems to want to say UNCLE. Everybody seems to bid like crazy. HOWEVER, check out their jewelry only auctions. Also, awhile back they were auctioning off some of the NOAA ships

I think I was the one who originally brought this site to the attention of the boards. Got too much flak for just telling people about it so I keep sites like this to myself now.

I did email them the question about shill/owner bidding and they never answered me. This may be occurring but I have no proof or evidence.
Everything starts and everything stops at precisely the right time for precisely the right reason.

  • Charge $4.95 "event fee" , shill bid everything to the moon (and keep most of what you're" selling ") , plus keep the $4.95. Nice deal if you can pull it off

and be aware that the 'siezed property' part is...............marketing. has no relation to 'seized' property. its just another sham effort to sell to the unwary. not a new twist on the philosophy of the 'parting of fools and their money'. i'll pass, again.

if you don't buy into all the hype, it's a good venue. i've bought several original oil paintings from them, & am very happy.

    oh coins? nah, don't bother.

I looked at that "nice" SLQ on the link. Looks like a cleaned slider. You can see a flat line over the leg. The description makes it sound like a winner thought.
