Questions regarding digital cameras.

I am hoping for a Xmas present in the form of a digital camera. What type of camera do forum members recommend that would be good for taking photos of coins. Also what is the price of these cameras. If I Santa is nice to me, I am hoping I can learn the ropes and begin posting pics on the forums [not fair that you guys with cameras should have all of the fun].

I was just looking at camera and found the Nikon 4800 to be a great all around camera. Four megapixels, eight optical zoom plus 4 digi zoom, macro to within ½". It's a new model out within the past few of months with a sugg retail of $399.00 but Buydig.com has them for about $330.00. Olympus cameras are nice, too.

Nikon Coolpix 4500 is what I use... it's got a swiveling lens, so I've got my setup anywhere I've got lights (ie, works nicely at shows, etc.)

NIKON 4200 is also a new one...slightly less than the 4800. Its about $299, and a great camera. Im gettin one for xmas, and was playing with one in Best Buy, and was able to take amazing coin pics even in poor lighting. I would def. go NIkon.
