Questions about DMPL Morgans

Is it too late to start buying some DMPL Morgans or have the prices peaked out and starting to go down? There don't seem to be a lot of these available in dealers inventories, but I have found a 1896 PCGS MS64DMPL and a 1880-S PCGS MS65DMPL that I am considering buying and wondered what would be a fair price for these coins?

Thanks,
Charlie

your question is about dmpl morgans. but why do you ask about "pcgs dmpl" in your thread title? do you not like dmpl morgans if they're not slabed? or not slabed by pcgs???

    don't understand your question.

KS.. I was talking about DMPL Morgans in general, so I changed the title. The reason I had PCGS in the title was because the two coins I am looking at are graded by PCGS. The same dealer also has several raw DMPL's listed, but since I just recently started to buy some Morgans and I am not an expert, I thought it would be better to rely on the grading services until I gain more grading knowledge on DMPL's.

They are very pricey right now. You are looking at least $550 for a MS65 DMPL. Know what you are doing before buying raw ones. I've seen several that were pollished to make mirror-like backgrounds. Some will even add artificial frost to Liberty's head and the eagle to make a black and white cameo.
