Another quality card from PRO!

Here is the link to the auction.

1949 Bowman Musial Graded By Pro

I sent him a question about the card. Here is what I sent him.

"Did the person that trimmed the card trim it straight? Are there any waves on the edges? Was it trimmed with a razor blade or scissors? Thanks."

That wasn't too sarcastic was it? image

  • Item is in Ottawa, Kansas - just "down the hiway" for me - I emailed him asking if I could pick it up in person, or come by his place to have a peek at the card before I bid!image

It always make me sick when a perfectly respectable low or mid-grade card is sliced up for this unholy purpose. Maybe it was even cracked out of a PSA 4 or 5 slab before surgery. When are these dodos going to learn: Vintage cards are worth more untrimmed, even in low grade!

Great question Frank. Did he respond? LOL
I didn't even know they had holders for the different sizes.
What's the gray area in the holder?

    No response yet.

My monitor for my PC at home isn't the best. The picture was real dark. I just got to work where I have a better monitor. The gray area is the background of the picture. That is terrible. Not only do they not have a holder to fit it, they don't even have a black insert to fit the card.

This (other than the basic ethics involved) is the thing that bothers me the most - a card, in PSA 3-5 shape, that several collectors (maybe not investors) would love to have, is now worthless, due to trimming.

I wonder how many mid-grade, or collector-grade vintage cards are now worthless due to these monkeysmack trimmers.

  • Did anybody else notice his other auctions! Wow! his floor must be covered with card trimmings....

He should be take out behind the shed for hacking up all those cards!!!!!!
