Is tonight a bad night to list on eBay?

I was ready to list some cards when it occurred to me that Thursday and Friday are holidays. Also, most people travel on Wednesday.

Does it matter?

    It matters to me. I won't be ebaying next weekend. I also avoided placing auctions on ebay this weekend because I won't be around when they end. Therefore, ebay may be slow all the way around next weekend (both sellers and buyers). But, for those who are off of work and still at home, they may have more time on their hands to browse and buy.

    In conclusion, who knows. Maybe somebody can tell us what their experiences have been in years past. I would also be curious if sales are down between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

    What about auctions ending Saturday night. That is when I end mine. I forgot about the holiday! image

    I have found that ending on a holiday weekend to be a very poor choice with very few hits and not much sniping. I sell a lot of different items and only certain hot items (toys, xmas) get the best prices. my guess is that people have tons of stuff to do and get back to Ebay when the regular week starts again. But Dec. is one of the best times to list, so do some scheduled auctions to take advantage of the gift buyers the week after. I almost list all my auctions with end times around 9-11pm est sunday, people see it during the week and bid at there leisure on Sunday.

    I'll be bidding on Thursday.....hopefully find some bargains while most are out of town.
    I'm taking my laptop with me to Las Vegas (I don't care about turkey).

    I'll be checking our this board and Ebay the entire holiday weekend, much to my wife's dismay. It saves me from the same family stories that I have heard many times.image

    i have had better luck ending on sunday's vs during the week.
