Yes! Its is a VAM-1B1 Capped R die break 1921-D. I thought MrEureka was going to get it last night when he said "One day, someone's going to unwittingly do that to an R-8 VAM." Well I did it to a Hot 50 VAM on purpose

The VAM-1B1 is one of the more common 21-D die breaks. I personally own about 20 EDS to LDS examples in grade ranges from MS-63 (ANACS since PCGS won't label them) down to this coin which was polished and shiney.

Wolf359 just cherried an MS-65 NGC Example of this coin. AMAZING!

I once saw a puzzle coin in a counterfeit ANACS holder (Fake anacs-like label, coinworld slab) at a show... They wanted $250 for it. Came back later and it was sold. Crazy people out there...
