looks closer to a 5 than 4 if the luster is mostly there

If dull, MS64, good luster, MS65 - (I'd need to rotate that coin in some light to grade it - guess is based on the image.)

Looks like some tough hits on obverse stars at 3 and 4 o'clock and around the P in PLURIBUS, aside from the low grade chatter. With knockout luster I would go 65, but I think 64 is more likely.

could it be said that its tougher to get a 5 due to the nature of these being nearly all well struck?
is there a bell curve in grading these?

MS64 if the lustre is average; MS65 if it has the 65 "look".

lots of 4s and 5s

does the coin show deep cartwheels when rotated in good light?
or sorta a duller sheen like the luster is not really as brilliant?

i wonder about old mostly white morgan dollars sometimes.
can a 90% silver disc really stay untoned for over a hundred years?

Hi blackhawk, I'm going to give the coin the benefit of the doubt and say it's a 64. However, if that's a rub on her cheek, then i agree with mike. Good luck!
