A question about USPS priority shipping

Can these packages be tracked by the seller and the buyer?

Yes. If you send that person the tag number and thet go to www.usps.com.

You'd have to send the package Registered, I believe, in order to get tracking--and even that's pretty poor. I'm not sure if certified gets tracked, and I think Sig. and Delivery Confirmation only scan upon arrival.

Priority itself doesn't get any barcodes to be scanned.

I'm not aware of any tracking service that you can purchase from the USPS like that available at UPS. Your post office CAN track registered mail and insured mail but there mite be a charge for this service. If they know you personally they mite "forget" about the fee.

Green sticker can be tracked on-line if you have the number.

Download the free Click-n-ship program from the USPS. With it you have alternatives. I know that when I print my labels, if I use Priority Mail Service- supposed to be 2 day delivery, I get complimentary delivery confirmation which satisfies Paypal when you enter the numbers. It has worked like a charm for me. I can track the package and verify delivery but there is a glitch in this system somewhere. I cannot sometimes get the info I seek when clicking on the status link from Pay pal BUT when I go back to the USPS site I can under track and confirm.
