PCGS submission question regarding 2 x 2 flips

I have a submission of dimes I want to send in on Monday and I only have a supply of 2 x 2 flips. PCGS "requires" the use of 2.5 x 2.5 flips in the submission information I have. Is this a problem? I don't want to suffer any grader bias because I can't follow instructions.

They'll still accept them, especially for dimes. They really only get irritated if submitters stuff Morgans in the smaller flips.

What if you had proofs? Wouldn't 2x2's or 2.5X2.5's ruin it and scratch it up. Especially if you are trying for a PR70? Could you send them in airtites?

Yes, or in Intercept Shield holders. BUT, they still have to be inserted in a flip.

Regardless of what they want you to submit in, remember that 2.5x2.5s are easier to open, and therefore a bit safer to use.

Has anyone ever tried submitting in a carboard flip, but instead of using staples, you used scotch tape? then maybe put the flip inside a mylar flip? I'd get nervous with my coin sliding around in some flip that may have trapped dirt with it. At least with the carboard flip, the grader would undo the tape, and open it up like a pizza box....viola, fresh unscathed coin.
