New 1879-S (Reverse of 1878) PCGS MS-63 -- 2-Sided Toner -- Photos

I picked up this 1879-S (Reverse of 1878) PCGS MS-63 2-sided toner off of E-Bay last night. Although the photo was not very definitive, I was able to pick it up well below CDN Bid, and it filled a hole in my PCGS Morgan Variety Set.

Congrats....I think it's going to look even better in hand. Straight on shots of toners typically do not do them justice

Stuart, when you get that coin try to determine which VAM it is. I can't see enough to tell in these photos, and there are a couple of VAMs for this variety that are very desirable.

Eric: Thanks for the suggestion and the tip! When I receive the coin, I'll check the VAM variety and will post an update to the thread. I agree with you that the photo is not very definitive.

kryptonitecomics: Thanks for your toned coin insight. I agree with you, and believe that the toning is a bit more lively than depicted in the auction photo.

This one will be fun to receive and evaluate further!
