Naturally the SMS sets are tough to make in cam or DCAM. So is the 64. In what order would you rank the difficulty in finding them?

1965 SMS
1966 SMS
1964 Accented Hair
1967 SMS
1971-S
1964
Surprisingly, in just cameo the Accented Hair is the most difficult - even more so than any of the SMS coins.

No problem. A mini collection of these coins ("short set", if you will- 1964- 1971-S) is an attractive gathering. You have three different metal types and three different minting methods in those years alone!

A good read.
I tell you what the 1976 S Silver is not the easiest either. I have seen many that are barely CAM.
<< <i>1971 S is the toughest besides the '65-'67 SMS and the 64. >>
With DCAM?
The 71-S is not the toughest especially so in grades less than PR68 (Teletrade closed prices and availability proves this out along with eBay sales...).
In SMS65; SMS66, or SMS67 the 1965 is the most difficult followed by the 1966 and 1967 (the 1967 SMS is probably tied with the 64 AH).
In PR65 or PR66 or PR67 the 1971-S is not difficult- only in the grade of PR69 does it become so and then expensive.

I'll go along with your list since price is directly related to "degree of difficulty"!
The name is LEE!
I guess I didn't make my self clear enough. Besides the '60's SMS Sets and the 64 AH the 1971 S is the toughest. It was the first year they went to a harder non-silver clad. Its kinda like the mint didn't get it quite right with the new composition. There are not many high grade DCAMs out there.
