I have a ton of older commons. 1954, 1955, 1956, 1958, 1960 fleer, 1961 fleer most of them are probably 4/5 at best. When is it a good idea to bite the bullet and just sell raw, ratherthan pay grading fees and hope for more than 5.99 on ebay? From your experiences, what eye grade do you just decide to sell it raw? I have a couple tough '58's that will pull 8's but the rest are 4's and 5's. Any input appreciated!!!!

Other than Ruth, Cobb, Gehrig, Williams (and maybe Young, Hornsby, Mathewson, Johnson) do not grade '60 or '61 Fleer in anything under PSA 7, although for '61 Fleer high #s, grading them if they are maybe a 7 is probably OK.
'54 Topps commons (other than the 51-75 series) should not generally be graded in anything under PSA 6 - the chances are that you will not make back grading fees if you do so. '54 Bowmans should not be graded in anything under PSA 6, for the same reason (and I've seen 6's go for under grading fees here). A '54 Topps common in the scarce series in PSA 5 is probably worth grading.
I don't know '55, '56, or '58 well enough to answer.
Assuming you're not rushed to sell, put the cards up on NAXCOM with a price you'd be happy to get (after your seller costs and fees are factored in). There's no listing fee, and the listing lasts indefinitely.
