Liberty Seated Half $ Need a little help

Can somebody please advise me if there is a premium associated with an 1841-O Liberty Half with small letters reverse. I thought I saw something in the CDN quarterly to that effect but upon checking the Red Book I find no such information.image
Thanks

1842-O is found with both large and small letters...I think all 1841-O are small letter reverse.

The 1841-0 is a nice date, especially in higher grades. The small letters reverse is standard for the date. I don't think any other reverses are known for this date. Wiley-Bugert lists no real scarce varieties for this date/mint. In MS63 and higher the 41-0 is a great coin. The higher the better. No doubt, nice uncleaned circ XF/AU's are tough to find too. This date in gem was one of my major "wants" in the late 1970's. Only ran across one, and lost it at auction to a floor bidder. A few more have shown up in choice or better grade over the years.

  • Thanks for quick replies guys. Mine is not a high grade coin, just a nicely circulated F-15 or VF-20 (gotta get the grading book out for this) without any problems. Just a nice collector coin good for a bid board or something.
    Thanks again,
    Mike
