Scarface George III

I purchased an attractive 1819 George III shilling from another boardmember (who will be named later) that is quite attractive. I took a better look at it and it appears to have an unusual die break on the potrait of George III making this a "scarface George" similar to the 1888-O Morgan... this one is not as obvious, but then again, a shilling is not as big as a dollar. In addition, all the digits of the date appear to be repunched which is not all that uncommon... seeing possible varieties in British coins is part of the fun.

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
