#1 Mint Sets at Heritage - '58, '62, '78 & '79

Decided to move on to collecting a different series so I sent my #1 1958, 1962, 1978, and 1979 Mint Registry Sets to Heritage if anyone needs anything from these particular years. Also have a few 1858 pieces in the mix. First couple batches are in the Dallas auctions. Good luck! Dave

    Ron - The only ones open for bids currently at Heritage are the Dallas Signature Sale (#277). Within the next week or so, the Dallas Bullet sale items should open up also. Some pieces will also come up in Exclusive Internet sales and I believe one other format. I'm on the road and don't have access to where all the items will appear so if your looking for something that is not showing up, drop me a PM and when I get back home later this weekend, I'll let you know where it should appear.     My kids have a couple of #1 ranked Registry Mint Sets and I kind of figure the sum is greater than the parts for these 10 coin sets, with the caveat that you must be willing to wait for the right buyer. Did you consider selling them as whole units rather than breaking them down into individual coins?

    I did think about it but several of the coins are more desireable in other sets, series or type, than they are in mint sets. If I did find a buyer for the entire set, I would just be passing that problem off to them. Figure if they are broken up, then everyone that has a need for just one coin has the opportunity to at least try. I know one gentleman needing just one coin in a mint set (a pricey one at that); if he bought the entire set, he would duplicate every coin in the set and then have the additional burden of getting rid of all the duplicates. Guess it's six one way, half a dozen the other. I went with my insticnts and feel comfortable with it. Thanks, Dave

    Dave, that is my 58-P Lincoln in 67RD - the one you got from DPoole.. Right? The coin pictured does not look like that coin.
