Confusing Ebay listing? @#$&^!

Am I getting old or is this a bit confusing? This auction states $1 shipping then $7 shipping. Also, states no Paypal, then "we accept Paypal". Also states "this is not a pre-sale" yet the items are not in stock and won't be for 3 months.LINK

It must be a bank having a 'sale' on deposits.

Man, I couldn't hit "back" fast enough to get away from that auction. In addition to the things you mention, all the verbage is waaay to long, plus the closer for me is the stupid little tag they put on the cursor. image

They are of course not available currently.

The PowerSeller cursor is somewhat annoying.

He says This is not a pre-sale, but doesn't have them on hand.
    Then it's $1 shipping then it's $7.
    Then no Paypal, then Paypal.

Sounds like John Kerry has his own Ebay business now.

  • I 'm not very clear on the postage, but the rest of the sale actually seems fine. My coin shop used to pre-order and pay for these types of silver $1's pending shipping, and offered a discount if you paid early, in case silver prices dropped. I bet that this dealer is just partly using a "form" type listing and didn't make it consistent. Probably an Email to them would answer questions.

  • I understand your point Morgannut2....however, the auction is only for one coin. Not only that but is was listed for 10 days. That's a lot of effort for a US Mint authorized bullion dealer buying "5000" piece orders in 2x, 3x quantities selling them one coin at a time. I'm not making any allegations but if I sold bullion Silver Eagles by the tens of thousands 3 months ahead of time, I would take a minute and make sure the listing made some sense.
    IMO.
