Seated Half Info with pics

Hello Seated Half experts. I have a question for you. I have an 1840 O seated half. The reverse has many severe Die cracks, deep ones and a medium size "o" mintmark with a long thin opening.

I have found the coin in Breen, but would like more information on it as far as rarity and value.

Any help would be welcome.
Thanks for your help.

This is an unusual date and mint for a variety of reasons and the number of dies and variations of the pairing is huge. It would help to see a pic of the reverse especially.

In short, it may be a rare die marriage, however the sheer number of varieties makes most of them rare.

    Great pics!

This is an example of Breen 4751 and WB-103. It is actually a "small" mintmark variety and has previously been described as "medium." This, according to Wiley-Bugert.

The die cracks on the reverse are spot on with the WB-103 variety and very common...in fact, coins witout the die crack are considerably more rare.

    No particular premium, though interesting.
