    This is the show that renewed my interest and turned me from a casual collector (pocket change, hand me downs, and some mint product gifts) into a more serious collector. I had never heard of slabs before I saw this show earlier this year on the National Geographic Channel. Don't think I'll own any of the S.S. Republic coins for a while though, if ever.

    The show is probably going to get even more people into collecting now that it's being shown on PBS.
