Which dealers here take want lists?

I've been working on my 20th Century PCGS slabbed type for the past 10 or so months, as a way to introduce myself again to collecting.

I've now been to three regional shows (100-200 tables) and have noticed that it will probably be quite difficult to find a few of the coins I want at the grades I am looking for and PCGS slabbed.
One solution is to buy from eBay or online, which I have done a couple of times. But my results have been mixed (some of the coins I probably would have passed on if I had seen them first).

On that note, I am curious which dealers here who see a fair amount of coins (especially at shows) take short want lists.

Also, how is this usually done and what have others' experiences been with trusting someone else (albeit admitting alot more experienced) to pick out coins for them?
Is the price usually pre-specified (either exactly or a general range)? Is there usually no return policy in this circumstance? Is it considered rude to have multiple dealers looking for the coins, or is this acceptable?

Thanks for any replies.

  • Thanks for the couple of PM replies so far.

I will note, that I am talking about mostly coins in the $100 - $400 range.
I can imagine that the price range would be a big factor.

Umm, isn't every coin a type coin? I'm not sure I understand the distinction.

To be more specific, here are some examples:

    1921 Peace in PCGS MS63
    1917 SLQ in MS63 or MS63FH
    19xx Gold coins in AU58

    etc...
