SBA error

Won this SBA cud error about a week ago on Ebay and it arrived yesterday. The obverse die must have shattered, causing some large cuds...the largest took enough metal to form a depression on the reverse.

You don't see a lot of cuds on the larger coins.

    That's really wild.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

  • I know this is an OLD thread.... but I want to see the pic!!!! So, where'd it go? And how come there's no evidence of it having been here? (ie. no red X, no dead link...??)

I believe that it sold in the Sept. (?) Heritage sale in Dallas (?). If anyone has a catalog of the sale, it might be shown in there.
