was thinking about starting this as my initial set. anyone have any insight on this set? has any attempted or completed it. i'm not looking for high grades at this point, but there looks to be several nice players in the set.

I am so proud of my ONE Golden Press* card I can't tell you! I bring it with me locked in the back seat secure in the seat belt harness for all to wave at as we drive by. Sometimes I leave my children at home just so I can drive around in hopes of people looking in the car window to view my Chief Bender PSA 9 Golden Press baby with perfect perferation and registry. How could PSA not appreciate my baby enough to give it a Gem 10?? I love my one Golden Press and will send him to an Ivy league College & have him burried next to me when he expires! Long live my Golden Press Hall of Famer* Blessed is my card and best friend. : )
The cards on the edge of the pages and front and back of the booklet are very tough in high grade and will cost you some coin as popularity grows. My set cost me around $1600 to compile~
Enjoy~

Not sure what you mean by edges as there are no cards actually on the edges of the booklet; they are all 4-side-perforated. Here's the front and back (sorry, the booklet is a bit too large to fit entirely on my scanner):

I meant the edges of certain cards due to their location on the booklet. Sorry, I bailed out of English in around 8th grade!
I built my set very quickly buy buying lots and making trades. For example, I had the only PSA 9 Babe Ruth at the time and traded it for a bunch of PSA 9s and 8s. Anyways..I retired it and sold it to Davalillo.
i don't know what sparked it, but i think it was the size of the set and the stars that were in it. hopefully this will allow me to "complete" a set on the registry to feel like i'm accomplishing something other than submitting and selling.
i had a hank greenberg several years ago (at least 20) and i always liked the card.
morrellman, do you have the complete book without them being punched? how does PSA handle the punched out cards?
thanks

I wonder how many other sets in the PSA registry can make that claim?
