I had a coin. I sold the coin. Yesterday I rediscovered the coin.
Yesterday's whining post
I went to bed thinking about this. I want the coin BACK..
Why? It's the same coin. It IS a neat looker. I enjoyed looking at it............but got tired of it.
However, I....did....plan to keep it forever just from remembrance of the circumstances of getting it and the reactions of everyone who saw it. But I didn't.
And now it's worth 50K. For what?
I finally decided that I honestly only wanted it back to see the stupid "MS66" on the......SLAB!
It isn't any different.......other than the stupid LABEL!
So, today I have changed my mind. If I got a chance to get it back, it would now take some real deliberation. Sure, I regretted it.........but life went on. Months and years passed and I didn't obsess about the thing. When I sold it I got double sheet for the grade it was in at that time, so I didn't "give" it away.
But the only thing I .....really.......wanted was to see the label proclaiming ........my great eye.........my impeccable "taste" in numismatic delights. A NUMBER ON A PIECE OF PAPER!!!
Sheeze!
How arrogant is that?
If it was a ....raw.... coin again I don't think I'd even have given it a second thought.
Quite a realization as to how easily I've been "conditioned."
Scary.
